I left the oven on last night again.
I couldn't help it, I had just walked in.
I turned it up, and I sat down to take a load off my feet.
Before I knew it, I was fast asleep.
But when I wake up right on time,
It don't help to ease the worries of a restless mind.
Will I get a shake up, or am I on fire?
You know it's driving me wild
Must have taken off my shoes,
Quick fat hit that got me thinking the blues,
Just enough to take my mind away.
But when I heard it ring, I awoke to note the nice thing,
A lesson learned to start the day.
So when I wake up right on time,
It means there'll be no worries for a rested mind.
Will I get a shakeup, or am I on fire?
Will I shape up, or am I on fire?
You know it's driving me wild
